FTL 81 - HOPPY SPRING

This was a fun sketch from clean&simple stamping! (FTL81)

I like all the circles but thought it would be fun to line up an image.

Talk about a *FAST* card - it took me 5 minutes! The hardest part was finding a "good" yellow!

Stamps: Amuse PEEP; Denami Designs HOPPY SPRING
Paper: Neenah Solar White
Ink: Brilliance and YoYo Yellow
Accessories: Piercing Bug and ScorPal

PUBLISHED!!!

I got a notice last week that at least one of the cards I had submitted to Stamper's Sampler would be published. My comp magazine came yesterday and two cards were published in Stamper's Sampler's sister magazine TAKE TEN!
So here are my cards!

This one I just threw into the pile going. It was a wet watercolor. You ink up different areas of the stamp and then mist with water. It's a cool look. And very easy to do. I put some extra color on a toothbrush and rubbed with my thumbnail. The distressed edges were also highlighted in the "closer look" section.

For this card I was playing with shapes. I colored simply with Copics.

Not Published (this time)

So, when I first started my blog, I told you I was working on Easter submissions for a magazine. It was hard for me because everybody was working on Halloween stuff and I had the rabbits out! :D Still I sent off 6 entries to Stamper's Sampler with my fingers crossed (since it was my 1st submission).

This weekend my SS issue came and none of my cards were selected for publication. I have others in the pipeline. So while I'm disappointed it didn't work out this time - I'm hopeful for future issues.

Easter Card Submission

For the last few weeks I've been working on a magazine submission for Easter cards. It's been rough going because I'm really thinking about Halloween stuff right now. When/if these get published then I'll share the complete cards but in the mean time here's a "teaser".

NOW ON TO HALLOWEEN STUFF!!
