GC106: Packaging/Packing Supplies

This week at Gingersnap Creations, we move from the mall to the mailbox! Your challenge - use those packaging/packing supplies in your art!

I used three different packing items on my tag: Bubble Wrap (love to stamp with that!!); cardboard (with one side pulled off - again makes a great stamp); and Tyvek. Tyvek?? It's that tough white envelope material. It makes an awesome ribbon here, huh? (more on that later)

A stamping friend sent me the sentiment several years ago but I love it. Stamping Bella was colored with watercolor pencils and Gamsol (mineral spirits).

Stamps: Stamping Bella, bubble wrap, cardboard, sentiment (unknown company)
Ink: Stazon black, Distress Ink (Broken China on the tag)
Paper: tag, Tyvek, white card stock
Accessories: Martha Stewart punch, Lumiere paint, pink acrylic, white embossing powder, watercolor pencils, Gamsol, rhinestones, fuzzy yarn

Join us at Gingersnap Creations with your packaging art!! And you might become a GINGER GEM!!

(back to SHE ART in a few days...)

  8. Very cool project! I have painted with bubble pack only once. Because yours looks so great, I want to try it again! I save most of the packaging I receive, including tyvek. I've used it to experiment with distress and alcohol inks, to die-cut, and emboss. Never thought to use it as pleated ribbon! It looks awesome and I can't wait to try it! Thanks for posting such a very cool project! :)
