Then I saw Hels Sheridan's blog about altered CD's. That made me remember a technique I saw a long time ago about using Alcohol Inks on CD's.
The main image is recycled packaging (from the glass slide frame package). The Prima rose was distressed with Vintage Photo and then the tips of the petals were touched with Glossy Accents and glitter. And along the edge of the image I ruffled some tea-dyed ribbon a friend sent me (Thanks, Kelly)!!
Stamps: sentiment
Paper: scraps
Ink: Distress Ink
Accessories: CD, Prima flower, glitter, fern punch, "Scrabble" tiles, alcohol ink, ribbon.
Deb, you surprise me again and again. It looks so pretty. It shines beautifully and i like the hole layout and colors.
ReplyDeleteDeb, what a great idea! I think you've achieved great color on that CD.
ReplyDelete(BTW, I was looking through some old Stampington mags lately and some of your work. Can't remember now which mag it was, but your work was gorgeous!)
OK, I really tried to figure out this challenge before I peeked, but I was completely clueless until I viewed your tag -- awesome 'spin' on the challenge! Leave it up to the vintage queen to take such a modern canvas and create the perfect ephemera feel!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I mean 'vintage queen' only in the most complimentary way :) !
Awesome altered CD! Love the colors and that sentiment is just so true!
